Praise the Lord, all you nations;
      extol him, all you peoples.

For great is his love toward us,
      and the faithfulness of the  LORD endures forever.

The last couple of weeks have been filled with examples of God’s love and faithfulness:
the safe delivery of grandchild #2, Eland Billingsley Turner and grandchild #3, Haylee Emma Chase!!!  We want to praise the LORD for these special little additions to our extended family.

Another example of God’s faithfulness?  I survived an extended bike hike with junior high students and parents down the Des Plains River Trail this past Friday, August 7.   Most of the students had never been on a bike ride of more than four or five miles.  They had a huge feeling of accomplishment after completing the 35 mile trip.  It was great to see intergenerational community in motion.

It is a great comfort to know that the faithfulness of God will be just as adequate for generations in the future as for the past.
